This has been a favourite pastime of mine for some time now. Well to be exact its at least 15 years since it began back in November of 1994. During that time, of course, I always dreamed of winning big. I played maybe once a week and also enlisted other people to play as well (Brother, Mother etc..) Now and again I won £10 but I never really realised the big win I always dreamed about. Well… except for one time when I almost came close after getting 5 of the 6 numbers. (see my new comment – shifting to Lotto Hot Picks!)
This was back in 1998 and I had been playing with 3 numbers from my brother and 3 from myself. I did this for 3 separate lines and got 5 numbers in the first line and 3 in the second. So I guess you could say I won twice!!!
At the time it was very daunting as I didn’t quite know what to do. When I checked it at first I thought oh I missed the first number then I saw that I had gotten all the others!!! Oh well, I thought, lets see what I’ve won then. As it turned out I had won just £1500 which is about standard for 5 numbers. I had to go direct to the National Lottery office in Trafalgar square since all the retailers or post officers, at that time, didn’t or were not set up to pay big amounts. Anyway, after making some enquiries I found the place, went there and was printed a cheque for the full amount.
OK, Well that was over 12 years ago. To this day I have never been able to repeat that success even though I once got 4 numbers and have gotten the odd £10 over the years. So I have always remained intrigued about how I could eventually “crack” this.
Fast forward to 6th March 2010. when an interesting event happened to me…
Two of my previous blogs: Money is the divine path to God and Money is the root of all Evil which serve to analyse my past and present relationships to money, wealth and abundance provided valuable insight into some of the possible limiting beliefs I held which might be holding me back in relation to my winning or owning lots of money. I also listened and took to “heart” many of the things mentioned in the Bashar video about choosing or picking numbers which you then shift your reality to a version where they are the winning numbers. Previously, I had almost always focused on trying to pick, what I perceived to be, “the winning numbers”.
I decided to check the 2 lines of numbers I had from a previous Saturdays draw to see if they had come up in the past. To my surprise I found that they had won at least 3 times before going back to October 2009 (3 or 4 numbers came up) Hmm… I thought. Maybe I should play these numbers for the next few weeks and see what happens? Well that was on the Monday 1/03/2010.
The very following Saturday I had 4 of my numbers plus the bonus ball come up!!! 27, 28,34, 42, (43) When I was checking my ticket on the Sunday I noticed I had 1…2…3…4…then the bonus and when I looked again for the 6th number for a split second I saw 6 and 13. I looked again for my own number 36 and realised my reality could have just so easily have switched between the two!!! In fact it did! because the remaining numbers where just that 6 and 13. The significance of 13 being, the thirteenth step, the number responsible for change and transformation!!! WOW….
In that fleeting moment I realised how infinitesimal the change would have been from one reality to the other !!!
Anyway. ..I will continue to play these numbers which I have decided are true for Saturday and now have a set of alternative numbers: 21, 24, 29, 34, 41, 43 which I use for Wednesday.

The wins just keep continuing I got 26, 33, 43 and 27….!!! But the big one still continues to elude me why?
My latest win. Four straight numbers including the bonus. I believe its simply a matter of time now…The frequency is beginning to increase!!!
This is gonna happen today soon! Incidentally. Saturday’s two lines both yielded wins 3 and 4 numbers respectively too! In fact when I looked at all 3 lines. I realised I had the winning 6 (5+bonus) numbers required drawn from those 18 numbers: (27, 28, 34, 36, 42, 43), (18, 26, 27, 33, 34, 43) and (21, 24, 29, 34, 41, 43) This has never happened before so it has got to mean something! (34, 41, 43, 42, 18, <33>)
Its been a while since my last win -10 months to be exact. And to be honest this had disturbed me. There must be something I must be doing wrong I thought. I’d been playing those same lines almost religiously every week. One on Wednesday, two on Saturday but I still wasn’t winning. Not even getting close!
So come September that’s when I decided, perhaps I might be focusing on this “winning the Lottery” as being my only solution. Maybe I was preventing other ways money might come to me by focusing exclusively on this one method. So I decided to limit myself to playing just once a month. That way I could allow my numbers to – or shift my reality to a place where they could – come up when they were ready. Well…it does seem like this strategy is working! Today I realized my biggest win so far! Both lines produced wins. And this time they didn’t include the bonus number for a change!
Oh well thats my lot for October. So until I play again next time in November lets see if I can attract some “financial abundance” from another source for the rest of the month!
Fast forward to February 2012. I received an unexpected check from the Inland Revenue for £1600. This has got to be my biggest attraction of financial abundance for a while! More than I’ve ever won playing the Lottery so far. Maybe I’ve hit on something here…. (see my new comment below – Shifting to Lotto Hot Picks!)

Wow! 5 numbers out of 6 is actually statistically very rare, so you should feel fortunate that you experienced something that the vast majority of players will never have happen to them.
It’s too bad that the payout is so small in the UK. Here in the States, we have the Powerball, which pays a minimum of 200K for 5 of 6 numbers, but it gets better. They roll a seventh ball which acts as a multiplier and can be a number from 2 to 10. If you get 10, that 200k turns into 2 million. Imagine if that was you! Most people dream of just reaching 5 numbers just for a chance at that and you got that far.
Then of course, if you get all 6 numbers for the Powerball the payout can be into the hundreds of millions. There was a man recently that won over 300 million dollars. Good luck with your playing!
I haven’t played the lottery since I got 4 numbers + the bonus ball in 2016.
To make things worse I was also one number off getting a fifth ball (I think I had 43 and the winning number was 44).
I was so close to winning 5 numbers and the bonus which would’ve been about an £80,000 win. Instead I had to pretend to be happy with my £130 win … 🙁

But then sometimes these are the journeys we undertake to enable us to understand what matters most to us in life. It also may help her 6 children she managed to financial provide for in a trust fund to cope better with money in their lives than she did…

Lotto Hot Picks…
It’d been a while since I stopped playing the traditional national lottery game. The frequency of my numbers coming up had decreased and I was getting tired of only ever nearly “shifting myself” to experience their reality in a big win when some of them did come up.
But now a another factor came into play. ..The National Lottery decided to increase the ticket price form £1-2 pounds per play! This I thought was sheer mass exploitation of the public in their bid to maintain their profits at a time of acknowledged economic recession. I was in no mind to help contribute towards this.
It was at this point that I began to look at the other games, the costs to play, and what they had on offer. I noticed “Lotto Hot Picks” which I had only ever played once before still remained at £1 a play. But then I also noticed and realised something else…
Although the top payout for winning was smaller. This could be achieved with just 5 numbers; there where payouts for all numbers picked from 1-5 and these payouts were higher in comparison to those in the traditional game.
Looking back over my last three years of playing the lottery how many times had I at least had one of my numbers come up? I’d even had 4 and 5 numbers come up over that period too? It soon dawned on me. It was obvious! I had been playing the wrong game all this time!
Sure enough when I switched to playing Lotto Hot Picks in this manner I started to see my reality shifting to the probability where far more of my numbers could come up!
I’ve since had many more smaller wins but the certainty with which I shift to my winning number reality has definitely increased…!
Did I just nearly win playing “Lotto Hot Picks”?
This has to be my closest to winning the top prize so far. Using my winning method of playing 5 lines at a time I came ever so tantalisingly close to materialising my five chosen numbers!
So that same Friday I went into a shop and played my numbers for the next day’s (Saturday) draw…
13 – 13, 28 – 21, 34, 42 – 13, 28, 34, 36 – 13, 21, 28, 36, 42…
Its clear I was spot on with the number 13, but then I looked at how close I came with my other numbers…I had 21, 28, 36, 42 and the winning numbers were: 21, 29, 35, 41 !
I had 13 & 21 and was just one number away each time. This was far too close to be co-incidental but what was it telling me? It has definitely left me wondering how I could have allowed myself to come so tantalisingly close to perfectly materialising the required winning five numbers?
Oh well! But at least I got my draw money (£5) back 🙂
Fast Forward to September 2015…
My latest near Lotto win…
I placed the first two lines of 3 saved numbers I would normally play. Which just so happened to coincide (not really!) with the day of my birthday 03/09/2015…Due to insufficient funds online, two days later, I attempted to manual place the 3rd line (recorded on my mobile phone) but was prevented from doing so after forgetting to take it with me to the shop?
The result was a win on 3 numbers (24, 29, 43) and an unmistakable near miss on the other 3 numbers!
Coincidence again?
